The Sagittarius full Blue Moon at 7:02 am ET on the 20th pushes us forward with power and velocity—one of my favorite full moons of 2016.
It’s time for vibrational attunement.
Why exactly is this full moon so special? Well for starters, it’s the second full moon in Sagittarius in a row. Sagittarius, a sign famously known for adventure, expansion, candor, and the search for truth, does not hold back from obtaining one of its most desired objectives: freedom. So having two back-to-back full moons in the sign of the Archer suggests that we’ve contended with what isn’t aligned—so we can break out, and break into our freedom.
On top of that, the ruling planet of Sagittarius—Jupiter—moves into a direct conjunction with the North Node of fate and destiny this week, as he prepares to trine Pluto. Meaning, our destiny—our highest calling and potential—beckons us forward, and we can expect this week to start to open us up to this potential (in no small way). Embrace this profound and incredibly expansive celestial support. Jupiter and the North Node only meet up once every 12 years and rarely ever in sync with a full moon, let alone a Sagittarius full Blue Moon.
Saturn, the planet of discipline, puts extra pressure on us as he opposes Mercury today, too—an aspect that technically can bring a challenge. In this situation however, I see Saturn instructing Mercury to stay prudent—something that proves fruitful as we round out this long Mars retrograde. Welcome, Saturn. Without him and his instructions, it’s all too easy to continue to spin our wheels needlessly.
Mars, who influences our body, our strength, our stamina and our competitive edge, finally goes direct on the 29th, and between now and then we have incredibly sweet aspects. After months of moving backward to move forward, we can finally embrace the starting line. Get your engines ready.
Additionally, with Venus now in Cancer until July 11th, we can all expect to feel a bit more nurtured than we have in recent weeks. Venus opposes the full moon, instilling the sky with an extra dose of feminine sensitivity and love.
Further, the moon makes a helpful trine to Uranus, the planet of surprises, meaning we can expect breakthroughs, too.
If that wasn’t enough: it’s the solstice. During the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere, this full moon lights up the World Axis: a transcendent astrological point that bridges the heavens with the earth, bringing us all closer to a higher mind, and hopefully our higher selves, too. Simultaneously, this full moon also happens conjunct the Galactic Center, the center of our galaxy. NBD!
By now, we’ve reviewed the road behind us. Issues stemming all the way back to October of 2014 resurfaced for a complete overhaul. Things that no longer hold vitality exited our life. We mourned, we grieved, and we encountered heart-breaking news. We integrated, and we’ve evolved.
Now it’s time to move forward.
While the next few months indeed contain challenging aspects, right now it’s time to start packing our bags for our future destinations. We need to plan our next big moves, to embrace our creativity, and to know—deep in our hearts and souls—that no matter what life throws at us, for goddess loving sake, we can handle it!
The good news is that even though the summer brings some challenging aspects, July and August are chock-full of positivity, too. We have two months when we can make evolutionary progress in our lives and businesses. July gives us plenty of support to make major moves on behalf of our goals and dreams, and by the time August rolls around, we’ll barely remember the retrograde spring slump that pushed us to become better people.
The apex of the summer comes right around the Aquarius full moon in August. In the days that follow that full moon, Mercury meets up with Jupiter, a fabulous aspect for starting new projects. Mars and Saturn also conjoin, initiating a whole new cycle in all of our lives, and then Venus and Jupiter come to the same degree blessing us immensely with love, prosperity, and abundance.
Whoa! If I were you, I’d plan to do something incredibly special that week, because the stars will light up the sky with fireworks, filling our lives with the potential to redirect our futures auspiciously.
