Earlier this month (on November 8th to be exact), Jupiter moved back into his home sign of Sagittarius after a long and intense year in Scorpio.
Associated with good luck and good fortune, Jupiter brings abundance. And—luckily for us—Jupiter conjoins the sun and Mercury, making this week (November 26th) one of the most auspicious weeks of the year.
Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system has a tendency to inspire explosive growth and at times. This growth highlights opportunities for change. While in Scorpio, a transit that lasted from October 10, 2017, until November 8, 2018, Jupiter highlighted a great deal as it relates to sexuality and secrets (hello, #MeToo and #TimesUp movements).
And until December 2, 2019, a whole new set of lessons abound.
(As I write this though, it’s not lost on me that immediately after Jupiter entered fire sign Sag California experienced its most devastating fires in the history of the state. The environmentalist in me blames climate change, not Jupiter. Yet, in the process, we are learning the dangers of fire first hand, signifying massive lessons that still need to be digested.)
Aside from the tragedy, I’m ready for the levity and wisdom Jupiter in Sagittarius offers, particularly when it comes to leveraging our luck and increasing our health.
Jupiter in Sagittarius: The Best Way To Get Lucky Under Sagittarius’ Watch
Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign that’s known as the truth-teller of the zodiac. The archer asks you to tap into your innate wisdom. It asks you to glean the wisdom the world to develop your own personal manifesto. It won’t accept anything less than philosophical alignment with what you believe to be True and how you express that Truth in society. That takes a lot of courage, love. Luckily, Sagittarius’ bold, action-oriented energy will help get you there.
With expansive Jupiter in his dignity here, leveraging your luck is all about working those bravery muscles, no matter which house it’s transiting in your natal chart. You’ll do best to speak your authentic truth over the next year. And more than anything, don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith. Both Jupiter and Sagittarius require that you take a step (or five) into the unknown. In doing so, you can access the good fortune that’s been waiting for you to show up and claim it.
Aligning Philosophical and Physical Wisdom Under Jupiter in Sagittarius
For most of us sitting at the cusp between late fall and early winter, this seasonal transition also offers us a unique opportunity to go inward. To tap into our body’s wisdom and release what’s no longer serving us. (For those of you on the other side of the world going from spring to summer, this season offers even more expansion.)
Sagittarius rules our hips, thighs, sciatic nerve, and liver. And this season calls us to pay closer attention to these areas of our body.
To leverage this potential, tap into what your body has been trying to communicate to you.
Are your hips tight? Do you experience any chronic pain in any of these areas? What have you been holding onto here that could be preventing you from completely opening to all possibilities?
Some suggestions for this season: Allow yourself to relax into a deeply healing pigeon pose, watch your thoughts as you practice a half spinal twist to relieve sciatic pain. Be extra mindful of what you put into your body. Please know that Jupiter expands and Sagittarius has no limits. There’s a real risk of overeating and drinking, especially given that we find ourselves amidst the holiday season. Taking time to open our hips, and speak our truth may just expedite our good luck.
Tell me: What are your doing to work your courage and listen to your body this season? How can you benefit from being even more courageous? (Leave a comment and let me know.)
In the meantime, I am personally excited about courageously pushing boundaries in my own life. Like a scientist, I love to test out my hypotheses of how transits will impact me. I encourage you to do the same.
