Following the cosmos, one way or another, has always been in Shannon Moodie’s blood. “I loved astrology and astronomy as a kid and teenager,” she says. “Then I really lost it through school. I did science for university and I really kind of shut that down.”
Now a well-established meteorologist in Canada, Moodie still keeps tabs on what’s happening in the sky.
But in 2014, a major life event made her question if she was truly doing it the way she’d always desired.
“I got divorced,” Moodie says. “I had been married for about four years and I woke one day and thought ‘Oh my god, I’m living somebody else’s life.’”
Enter Racioppi. Shannon had been following Jenn’s work for a long time, eagerly awaiting her new and full moon posts every two weeks. She’d taken Racioppi’s Moon Embodiment Challenge course and had followed her interviews across the web. So when Racioppi contacted her about a new offering, it was a no-brainer. “When Jenn contacted me about Moon School it was a pretty hard yes,” Moodie says. “I’d already experienced so much incredible growth through Jenn’s work. Sometimes I take a moment and look at my daily life and think, ‘Holy crap! I can’t believe where I am today and how far I’ve come. And I knew I could get even farther with Moon School.”
Immediately, Moodie was blown away by Moon School.
It was an intensive, personally tailored experience that threw her personal and professional growth into overdrive. Plus, she couldn’t believe how supportive the other women in the program were. She says, “These people they see you. You’re so vulnerable with them. The feedback and advice they give you, it’s beautiful and incredible. You’re not only getting growth through Jenn’s guidance, but you’re also getting growth through the community aspect.”
She also attributes her personal growth to the innovation behind Racioppi’s signature program. “Jenn has created something that is so special and nothing like what anyone else is doing. She’s developed this coaching program that’s combined with astrology, you’re learning to tune into the natural growth cycle. She really teaches people to harness that wave-like action of life because she gives us the tools to do it through this unique growth structure. And we can apply these tools to everything.”
These days, Moodie’s made peace with her divorce—and she’s helping other women to accept themselves, too. Her goal is to help women break through cultural expectations and people-pleasing behavior to get to the root of who they really are without guilt. She wants to help women accept all parts of themselves through multiple modalities, including hypnotherapy and a deep understanding of their astrological natal chart, plus how that impacts their goals, dreams, and personality. Moodie points out her moon in Leo as an example. “I’m a drama queen,” she laughs. “I don’t like to be ignored.”
With Moodie’s drive and unabashed self-love, it’ll be hard to look away from here on out.
