Pisces Sun Sign

As the seasons converge and the seasons change, the last dregs of winter mix with the first blush of spring (if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, that is). Breath still curdles in the air, but pale green shoots start to unfold from the soil. This sense of “in-betweenness” is the essence of the Pisces star sign. It’s the time of day when both the sun and moon are visible, the magic of twilight, and an unwavering trust in the Universe.

There’s no doubt about it—as the last sign of the zodiac, you’re born with an innate sense of wisdom that takes the rest of us a lifetime—or lifetimes—to accumulate. As a mutable water sign, sensing the surrounding energy fields of people and places is as easy as breathing for you, which is why you aren’t satisfied with a “normal” life. By regularly transcending your physical body and touching down on the energy fields of others, you can escape your own limitations and experience a wider, multi-dimensional world. This is like a balm for your overstimulated soul.

Another way to transcend the mundane is through your dreams.

Ruled by imaginative Neptune, your visions are both potent and possible. You tend to lean toward the arts and spiritual exploration as a method of bringing your dreams into reality while processing your more earthly emotions. Think of artistic pursuits as a way to give yourself a much-needed timeout from physical reality—you can dance, paint, or draw your way back to emotional equilibrium.

Many traditional religious institutions possess the Piscean undertones of service and sacrifice. But with this conviction comes the idea that to truly be of service is also to suffer. This is the leftover of thousands of years of misguided religious principles—not something for you to harbor within your subconscious. It’s imperative you don’t carry that with you in this lifetime, love.

You possess the sage-like wisdom needed to change hearts and minds. Between your creative intuition and the depths of your empathy, you have tremendous gifts to share with the world. Give yourself permission to drop the dogmatic baggage and rise.

Pisces Rising Sign

When your rising sign falls in ethereal Pisces, you come across as someone who knows everything, but not in the traditional, masculine sense. Your knowledge comes from somewhere beyond this place—a spiritual gift received, not attained—and you’ve been chosen to absorb it all.

People tend to see you as a sensitive soul who’s quick to overwhelm—and they aren’t wrong. Because you feel so deeply, it can be tough for you to stay in loud or chaotic environments. It’s too much energy, too much emotion for your soft-heart to handle. You’re at your best when with a small group of trusted friends, preferably somewhere healing like the shoreline of a gently lapping ocean.

You feel at home in places like this because, like the trees and oceans, you’re also a natural healer. Others sense this about you, so don’t be surprised if anyone and everyone shows up to dump their energetic baggage on you. While you prefer to go with the flow, it’s best if you learn to set some firm boundaries when it comes to your energy, love. A healer is no good to anyone if she can’t care for herself.

Pisces Moon Sign

As a Pisces moon, there’s no emotional crevice you haven’t experienced. You’re an energetic sponge—you pick up every feeling in your environment without even trying. Sometimes it can be tough to decipher which emotions belong to you and which ones were left behind for you to collect.

Your impeccable intuition when it comes to people, places, and emotions puts others at ease. They innately understand they can trust you with their energy. And while your giving soul doesn’t mind taking some of the load off of others, you have to be careful of short-circuiting, love. You were built differently than the rest of us, and you need to give your nervous system the rest and relaxation it deserves.

To give yourself a full-on reboot, surround yourself with soothing art and music, and spend some time in a room painted with calming blues and greens. Trust me, your body, mind, and soft heart will thank you for the time to recover.
