The full moon in Virgo (The Snow Moon), which perfects at 7:30 am Eastern on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 5 degrees, offers us an ideal moon to get organized, centered, and grounded—it asks us to get practical and self-sufficient.

As a mutable-earth sign ruled by Mercury, Virgo is a sign that lends itself to organization. It asks us to tend to the tedious and often mundane aspects of adulting—keeping a clean home, paying our bills, tending to our health, sticking to a routine, and taking time alone.

But, like its opposite sign of Pisces, it also renders profound spiritual principles. Virgo is a sign that relates to service—a sense of devotion to living our best on behalf of helping others do the same.

Astrological Aspects to Consider this Full Moon

The cosmic dance beckons our consideration of the obstacles standing in the way of accomplishing our most significant goals. This weekend’s full moon allows us to work through some of this as we move toward our highest calling. To support us, Saturn, the taskmaster, and Mercury, the planet of communication, conjoin the sun. A combination of Saturn, the sun, and Mercury in Pisces, opposite of the moon, acts like a cosmic pressure cooker—amplifying our staying power as we tackle tasks we otherwise prefer to avoid.

Meanwhile, Venus, Mars, and Pluto all travel very close to one another in Aquarius, an intense trifecta pushing us towards (not away from) breakthrough. Fortunately, Jupiter—the planet associated with good luck, good fortune, and growth—makes an auspicious trine to the full moon and sextile to the sun. Favorable aspects, indeed.

Still, we will likely need to go deep this weekend and push through the limitations that typically hold us back. With Chiron, the wounded healer, conjunct the north node in Aries, we are collectively in a cycle of tackling inner wounds so we can rise to a new level of autonomy and skill.

Here Are a Few Ideas of How To Work With This Full Moon:

1.         Organize + Clean: Clear through that stack of mail, put away the laundry, or tend to other housework that will offer you a sense of clarity and accomplishment.2.         Take some alone time: Remember, Virgo is about honoring independence and relishing in the rejuvenation the company of oneself can provide.

3.         Pay attention to the inner critic: Given that it’s a Virgo full moon while Chiron conjoins the north node of fate and destiny, stay patient with the inner critic’s voice. Get curious about what it’s saying rather than taking it at face value. What’s the reframe? The refute? Confront it, challenge it, and see if there’s an alternate perspective on what it’s saying.

4.         Trust: No matter what happens or how you spend the weekend, you have agency. Make the changes that you can and see where that takes you.

Full moons shine a light on something that has come full circle. Fundamentally, they represent a moment to release the old and make way for the new. Speaking of, we have lots of newness coming! So, pay attention, bring things to completion, and stay present.

Big hugs,

Jenn
