After weeks of retrograde activity, signifying a time to go within and acquaint ourselves with our darkness and deepest values, we finally have a super fertile new moon in Taurus asking us to plant new seeds for growth.

Yes, ladies, it’s time to cultivate abundance.

Taurus represents all things feminine: fertility, abundance, luxury, sensuality, and the feelings of satiation.

Who doesn’t want more of that?!

This new moon in Taurus, happening at 8:16 am ET at 6 degrees on April 26, 2017, doubles as a supermoon given its particular proximity to the Earth. However, since it’s a new moon, we won’t have the benefit of seeing it up close and personal.

  • If you want to know more about the qualities of all of the new + full moons for the rest of 2017 so you can start to track them yourself I made this free guide for you, outlining the essential details of each moon for the remainder of the year. Download it here!

Looking Back: Venus Retrograde

Since the Sun and the moon will harmoniously align in Taurus, we must look at Taurus’s ruler, Venus, to understand the deeper meaning of this new moon. The most complicated aspect of this new moon comes from Saturn (the planet of hard lessons) in Sagittarius making a hard angle to Venus in Pisces (squaring), so we absolutely must review our Venus experience. If we don’t, we miss the point of this new moon entirely.

Venus, having recently completed her retrograde journey, took us through the underworld to find a part of ourselves that needs reintegration. As she transitioned from her Evening Star position to her Morning Star position, cosmically life became a journey of rediscovering our core values and our personal value in all aspects of our lives, but especially as they relate to love, abundance, and fertility.

We now have enough information to understand the aspects of our lives that have emerged since March 4th that require integration and acceptance as they relate to our feminine prowess.

Let Venus and her journey tell you precisely where you want to put your attention this new moon.

Where were you asked to fully accept, love, and receive your dark side or pain, so that you can step forward stronger and more centered in your power?

Breaking Down the Timeline Of Manifestation

Over the last year, I have noticed a particular rise in people flocking to my profession, not only highlighting astrology as a part of their career but even more specifically lunar astrology as their calling card. With so many offering cosmic advice, it’s essential to understand what all of this means and to not make light of such a spiritual science. To that end, I am going to be introducing in my blog posts the astrologers who have influenced me, so that wisdom doesn’t become lost in watered-down trends.

One such astrologer is Dietrech Pessin, who has written extensively about lunar phase astrology, particularly lunar gestation cycles.

She believes the fruition of our desires occurs in sync with nine-month gestation periods. As someone who has worked religiously with moon cycles since 2001, I can honestly say that I’ve seen other patterns emerge, often manifesting an intended outcome in the same lunar cycle. Other times, things have taken much longer, if they even manifested at all. Remember, just because we want something doesn’t mean we are supposed to have it. And, to Pessin’s point, manifestation is often a long-winded and intertwined experience.

The correlating full moon that will bring this new moon’s intentions to fruition won’t occur until the Taurus full moon on October 24, 2018. (Even then, according to the work of Pessin, we might not see the fruition of intended desires until the closing square of this lunar phase family on July 24, 2019.)

As I look forward to the full moon associated with this lunar phase family occurring 18 months from now, I see that ironically enough, Venus will be amidst her very next retrograde cycle.

A Pattern Emerges

Venus, who represents feminine prowess, with multiple faces, leads us forward, asking us to dig deep into our values to discover, and live, the truth of who we are! The intentions we set this new moon, on the heels of Venus Retrograde, will reverberate deeply in October of 2018 when Venus will retrograde next.

What do you envision for yourself come October of 2018 when we’ll have the culminating full moon of this lunar gestation cycle, consequently amidst the next Venus retrograde cycle?

With Beltane around the corner on May 1st, marking the halfway point between the last equinox and upcoming solstice, and Mercury turning direct on May 3rd, we have so much to celebrate this new moon. Now is the time to put your attention on our intended desires as they relate to the material manifestation of your life!

So over to you.

  • What was your Venus retrograde lesson?
  • How does that play into what you intend to manifest this new moon?
  • Further, as you look out to October of 2018, where do you want to be then?
  • What’s the connection between where you are today and where you hope to be then?

Set an intention for this new moon based on the truth you digested over the last few weeks. Go for soul. Go for truth. You won’t regret it.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you are manifesting this new moon!

As always, I send you all of my love.

Warmly,

Jenn
